Optometrist
Dr. Hamid Hashemi is a highly experienced optometrist with over two decades of expertise in eye care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology from Northeastern University School of Engineering in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1995. Following this, he pursued his passion for optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2001.
Upon graduation, Dr. Hashemi obtained Texas Optometry Board Certification, allowing him to practice as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He began his practice in South Plano in 2001 and has since continued his dedicated work in Lewisville, Texas.
Recently, Dr. Hashemi has expanded his practice by opening a new office in Denton, TX, where he continues to provide his optometric expertise to the Denton community. The new office has been operational for about two months, further extending his commitment to comprehensive eye care.
Since 2018, Dr. Hashemi has honed his focus on myopia management, particularly in reducing the progression of myopia in children. He is committed to educating children and their parents about myopia progression and offering effective myopia control options to ensure long-term ocular health.
